Welcome to Picnic pa Glyptoteket, a charming café nestled at the stunning Dantes Plads 7 in the heart of Copenhagen. This delightful spot is not just a place to grab a bite but an experience that perfectly complements a visit to the nearby Glyptoteket museum, known for its incredible art and beautiful surroundings.

The café is set within a lovely winter garden, allowing patrons to enjoy a serene atmosphere with greenery and sunlight softly filtering through. It's an oasis of calm, making it an ideal sanctuary after a day of exploring stunning art. Here, you can immerse yourself in a culinary treat while basking in the beauty of the outdoors.

Picnic pa Glyptoteket offers a varied menu that features fresh and delectable options. While the exact menu is not provided, customer reviews highlight some standout dishes that you won't want to miss. For instance, the pumpkin soup has been described as "probably the best" ever enjoyed, and the banana bread is a beloved staple that many rave about. Other reviews speak highly of the cheese and jam bun, which pairs beautifully with a refreshing glass of perfectly iced water—a small but delightful detail that many customers appreciate.

However, it's worth noting that, while many dishes are praised, some diners suggest caution with portion sizes. One customer shared an experience of feeling a bit overwhelmed after indulging in a particularly generous salad filled with greens, sauces, and hearty ingredients. That said, the salmon and courgette on rye bread was described as a delicacy, showcasing the café's commitment to quality and flavor.

Customers have generally found the service to be quick and attentive, allowing for a seamless dining experience that fits nicely into a museum visit. One guest exclaimed that they felt like the café deserved "10 stars" for its exceptional quality, claiming it offered the best food they had ever had in a museum setting—and we couldn't agree more!

At Picnic pa Glyptoteket, every dish is a celebration of fresh, vibrant flavors, beautifully presented within a tranquil setting. Whether you’re a museum-goer needing a rejuvenating lunch or a local seeking a peaceful retreat with outstanding food, this café is a must-visit. Stopped here for lunch after exploring the beautiful Glyptoteket museum. The cafe is situated in the beautiful winter garden surrounded by greenery and sunshine filtering through which was so peaceful. I ordered the cheese and jam bun whilst my wife got the scone and we both also got chilled water. Service was quick and food was delicious but the stand out was definitely the water. perfectly iced and containing the perfect ratio of lemon, it was the best water I’ve ever tasted in my life!! - if it wasn’t so expensive I’d for sure be drinking it by the litre

the food was incredible but i made all the wrong choices and was feeling sluggish at the end of the meal. I tried the salad and oh my was it huge- greens, sauces, broccolini, potatoes, yogurt, crisps, bread, feta… it was too much. Not only the size. Bread and potatoes and crisps together was too heavy. The salmon & courgette on the rye bread however was a delicacy. I also tried a bite size of every pastry to get a peek of each. I fell in LOVE with Paris Brest, so nutty, warm, creamy, rich I thought it was pure peanut butter. The cardamom- strawberry cupcake had the sweet spot of cream and strawberry and cardamom. The berry cream and lemon cake were good but average compared to these two. I might visit Glyptoteket again just for the Paris Brest. And this time ill dodge the green oasis salad which was a catastrophe and get the salmon as my meal.

This cafe deserves 10 stars! It is without contest the best food I've ever had in a museum - but it is incredible in its own right. Our food was freshly prepared and every single dish we ordered was unique and so flavorful. I would absolutely eat here again. It was in line with dining out in Copenhagan, and while fairly pricy, I felt that it was fair for the high quality of food we received. The ambiance was wonderful too, it's open to the central atrium full of palm trees and statues. Highly recommend!

Beautiful and quiet place to eat inside the indoor garden. Food was delicious and well presented, and not that expensive considering it is Copenhagen and inside a Museum. Sadly drinks are on the steep end and quickly rise the total of the bill. Pricing also felt a bit weird, a beautiful and large salad costs 85 DKK but one sandwich croissant is priced at 125? If I didn't have to pay the museum entrance fee and could bring my own water bottle, I would love to eat there more often.
